#OnThisDay 1916 Thomas Kent was arrested after a shootout with the RIC at his home in Cork. The RIC had arrest warrants for Kent & his brothers. Constable Rowe was killed & two of Kent’s brothers were wounded, one fatally. Thomas was later sentenced & executed.
