#OnThisDay 1916 Sir Roger Casement landed at Banna Strand, Kerry via the German submarine U-19. Suffering from an illness, Casement was too weak to travel & was arrested within a few hours at McKenna Fort. His plans to cancel or to arm the Rising had failed.
