#OnThisDay 1917 Captain Richard Hemphill RFC from Birr, Offaly died near Cairo, when he fell out of his airplane. Originally with the 6th Leinsters, Hemphill was a medical student in Trinity before the war & often volunteered in Dublin’s missions.
