#OnThisDay 1921 Roscommon IRA ambushed a truck carrying British Army & Black and Tans at Scramogue, near Strokestown. Three of the crown forces were killed in the attack. The IRA took rifles, a machine gun, ammo & two British prisoners who were later executed.
