#OnThisDay 1922 Roughly 40 loyalists & Ulster Constabulary ‘B’ Specials were kidnapped by the IRA. They were held as a ransom & to expedite the release of the three men due to be hanged in Derry jail on 9th Feb & the Monaghan ‘footballers’ arrested in January.
