#OnThisDay 1917 Irish International footballer Harold Sloan, from Castleknock, was killed in action at the Somme. Sloan was a left winger for @bfcdublin, scoring the first ever goal at Dalymount Park & captained Ireland scoring a hat-trick against Wales.
