#OnThisDay 1815 The British Army lost the Battle of New Orleans, the last battle of the War of 1812. The blame for the loss was aimed at Anglo-Irish Lt. Col Thomas Mullins from Kerry, who did not get the ladders needed to cross a canal & storm enemy positions.
