#OnThisDay 1776 The US Continental army inflicted a small but pivotal defeat on Hessian forces at Trenton, New Jersey. The Americans capture 900 enemy soldiers & lose 2 themselves. One of the US leaders is General John Sullivan whose parents were from Cork.
