#OnThisDay 1886 L/Cpl William Kenealy VC was born in Wexford. Kenealy served with the Lancaster Fusiliers in Gallipoli. Under withering fire (700 casualties in 24hrs), he tore down barbed wire & enabled his Reg. to take the high ground & secure the beach.
