#OnThisDay 1863 The heavily Irish 6th Louisiana Infantry was engaged in the fighting at the Battle of Rappahannock Station. The Union Army overran the Confederate lines & of the 1200 men of Hays’ Louisiana Brigade, 699 were captured, 89 from the 6th Louisiana.
