#OnThisDay 1920 Terence MacSwiney, Lord Mayor of Cork was arrested for possession of “seditious articles &documents”. On the 16th he was sentenced to two years’ imprisonment in Brixton Prison, London. Once there, he immediately started his 74 day hunger strike.
