#OnThisDay 1940 Captain Jenico Preston 16th Viscount Gormanston, aged 25 from Meath, drowned leading his men to Dunkirk during the evacuation. They had been pulling out of the town of Igoville. He has no known grave.
His brother Stephen, a Lieutenant in the Irish Guards was killed at Anzio in 1944 aged 23.
