#OnThisDay 1951 PFC William Collins, from Limerick was Killed in Action near Chaun-Ni during the Korean War. Collins fought in the 23rd Inf Reg (2nd Inf Div) who were surrounded by Chinese & North Korean troops in what became known as the ‘May Massacre”.
