#OnThisDay 1921 Tom Maguire (Standing far left)& the South Mayo IRA ambush a British army & RIC patrol at Tourmakeady killing at least 4. Maguire, wounded in the arm, & his men managed to escape over the Partry Mountains while being pursued by the British army.
