#OnThisDay 1916 Eoin MacNeill’s countermanding order appeared in the Sunday Independent cancelling all mobilisation orders. Not all Volunteers see the order & some mobilise anyway. The Rising is postponed 24 hours & will take place the next day, Easter Monday.
