#OnThisDay 1921 Two RIC men (not in pic) were returning from leave to their barracks outside Macroom, Cork. They were attacked by IRA Volunteers who killed Constable Lord, a Black and Tan from London. Lord was due to resign in a few days & emigrate to Canada.
