#OnThisDay 1923 Thomas Derrig (left) & Moss Twomey, two IRA GHQ were arrested in Ballsbridge by Free State troops. Derrig was shot in the face & blinded but survived, later becoming Minister for Education & Lands. Twomey later became IRA Chief of Staff. #Ireland #History
