#OnThisDay 1839 St. Clair Augustine Mulholland, the American Civil War Brevet Brig. General was born in Lisburn, Co. Antrim. Mulholland was awarded the Medal of Honor at the battle of Chancellorsville in 1863.He later became Chief of Police in Philadelphia.
