#OnThisDay 1915 Sister Alicia Kelly, from Mayo, enlisted in the Australian Army Nursing Service. She served in Egypt & France & was awarded a Military Medal for bravery under fire-during an air raid on the hospital, she wouldn’t leave her patients’ side.
