#OnThisDay 1923 Anti-Treaty Cmdt Bobby Bonfield was arrested at Leeson St. by President Cosgrave’s bodyguard. Bondfield’s corpse was located next day at Clondalkin, Dublin. He had been shot in revenge for his assassination of Pro-Treaty politician Seamus Dwyer.
