#OnThisDay 1922 Seven male members of the McMahon family & a family friend were shot in the McMahon home in Belfast by RIC & B-Specials. Six of the men died (Pic), including Owen McMahon, the father at 52. The youngest; Gerard McMahon was 15. His 11 year old brother hid under a couch & lived. Their mother was also assaulted during the attack. Nobody was ever prosecuted for this crime.
