#OnThisDay 1917 Captain Richard Patrick Hemphill Royal Flying Corps from Birr, Offaly died near Cairo, when he fell out of his airplane. Originally with the 6th Leinsters, Hemphill was a medical student in @trinitycollegedublin before the war & also volunteered a lot in Dublin’s Fishamble street mission to help the city’s poor.
