#OnThisDay 1921 Roscommon IRA ambushed a truck of British Army, RIC & plain clothes Black and Tans near Strokestown. Three British soldiers & one RIC man were killed. Two Black and Tans were taken prisoner & later executed to prevent them identifying their captors.
