British Ambush in the Boggeragh Mountains 1921

#OnThisDay 1921 Brigade HQ of Cork No. 2 Brigade along with its Kanturk & Mallow columns were surrounded by British Army in Boggeragh Mts. Most escape but six IRA men were found sleeping in a house & while two managed to escape, the four others were shot dead. The deceased were:

Edmond Twomey
David Herlihy
