General Dan Hogan, Chief of Staff

Daniel Hogan, Chief of Staff of the Irish Army between 1927-29. An active IRA man from Tipperary, his brother was Michael Hogan, the football captain shot in Croke Park on Bloody Sunday. Hogan raised the Irish flag over Dublin Castle during the handover.
He moved his family to New York and then back to Ireland some years later and then in the 1940s just disappeared off the face of the earth and was never heard of ever again.
