#OnThisDay 1917 Lt Den is Joseph Baily M.C. from Tralee was kiled by a sniper near Messines, Belgium. A Castleknock College past pupil, he served with the 1st Royal Munster Fusiliers & had fought at the Battle of Hulluch & the Somme. He was 23 years old.
