Four IRA Volunteers shot dead by roadside trench, Cork 1921

#OnThisDay 1921 Four IRA Volunteers were shot dead by soldiers in the Essex Regiment, after they were caught digging a trench across a road at Crois na Leanbh, Cork. Their bodies were left by the roadside.
