#OnThisDay 1961 Major General John Francis O’Ryan passed away. O’Ryan was America’s youngest ever Division Commander in #WW1 & was a pioneer of ‘live fire’ drills for the military. He later became the New York City Police Commissioner. His father was from Ireland.
