#OnThisDay 1923 Joe Lacey, 25, died from complications as a result of Hunger Strike at the Curragh Hospital. He was brother to Dinny Lacey, IRA, “the toughest leader in Ireland” who was killed earlier in March of that year fighting the Free State in Tipperary. #Ireland #History
