#OnThisDay 1738 Major General Richard Montgomery was born in Dublin.Montgomery joined the British Army&fought in the Seven Years’ War.He later joined the Americans to fight for their independence in the Revolutionary War, leading an ill-fated invasion of Canada, which cost him his life.
