#OnThisDay 1920 Three IRA men & a groundskeeper were arrested by Auxiliaries in Whitegate, Clare. They were taken to Killaloe bridge by steamer and handed over to some Black and Tans. There they were beaten, tortured & then shot dead. The report said they were trying to escape.
