#OnThisDay 1920 Tómas Malone & 50 Limerick IRA ambushed a British patrol at Grange. The IRA had initial success, inflicted 4 casualties but had to conduct a successful withdrawal when 7 more enemy trucks & an armoured car arrived on the scene. Malone didn’t suffer a single casualty.
