#OnThisDay 1920 At the funeral procession of Michael Scanlan, Commandant 4th Bt East Limerick IRA who had been shot dead by British trrops while unarmed, in handcuffs and trying to escape the previous day, Scanlan’s Tricolour draped coffin was stopped by a British officer who removed the flag.
