#OnThisDay 1920 The IRA attack & take “impregnable” Trim RIC barracks with a single shot. The IRA attacked while the majority of police were at 8am Mass. They shot Head Constable White & had him seen to by a local doctor. They took a large supply of Police arms, burnt the barracks, then made good their escape.
