#OnThisDay 1798 Matthew Tone is hanged for treason at Arbor Hill Prison, Dublin. Matthew was the brother of the United Irishmen leader Theobald Wolfe Tone. Matthew was captured after the Battle of Ballinamuck & was one of roughly 200 Irish prisoners to be hanged. #Ireland #History
