#OnThisDay 1915 Ernest Cotton Deane MC was killed at the Battle of Loos. Deane was from Limerick & graduated from the RCSI in 1909. He also had a brief rugby career playing a game for @IrishRugby. He was awarded the Military Cross days before he was killed while rescuing fallen comrades in No-Man’s Land.
