#OnThisDay 1803 Napoleon created the Irish Legion into his French army with Adjutant-General Bernard MacSheehy at the head. The purpose of the Legion, aside from fighting, was to align the Irish hearts to the French cause in the future invasion of Ireland. #Ireland #History
