#OnThisDay 1951 Major General Winston Dugan GCMG, CB, DSO, died in London. Dugan was from Birr, Offaly. He fought with distinction in both the Boer War & WW1. He served as Governor of South Australia from 1934 to 1939, then Governor of Victoria until 1949. #Ireland #History
