#OnThisDay 1649 Oliver Cromwell sets sail from Milford Haven at the head of 35 ships to bring death and destruction to Ireland. He will land in Dublin on the 15th & immediately march on Drogheda, then Wexford slaughtering both towns’ inhabitants.
