#OnThisDay 1798 General James Duff & his army killed over 350 surrendered & unarmed rebels at Gibbeth Rath in the Curragh. The rebels had received amnesty from General Lake & were waiting for him to take their surrender. Duff was not reprimanded. #Ireland #History
