Hello all, the new episode of my podcast “The Irish at War” is out now on iTunes and Soundcloud.
The Battle of Dublin 1171 was a mismatch of a colossal scale. Rory O’Connor, the High King of Ireland and his army of 30,000 Irish-Norse soldiers besiege 2,000 Normans lead by Strongbow in the tiny cramped walls of medieval Dublin.
This one has it all; wife snatching, dog killing, sword swinging, horse riding, ambushing, leg chopping, even some lad caught naked in the bath in the middle of battle. Enjoy.
Feel free to let me know what you think of it on Twitter. My handle is @Irelandbattles.
